Things have been changing very rapidly over the last year so I'll be using this page to keep everyone updated with the latest information and settings for zoom etc.
Zoom Version 5.4.7 (Jan 2021)
There are a couple of setting to ensure Zoom works better for music lessons as of the latest version 5.4.7
1. Make sure you are up to date with the latest version as these setting s have a habit of moving every update.
2. Go to Settings then click Audio
3. "Suppress Persistent Background Noise" - set to Low
4. High fidelity Music Mode - has a big impact on performance if the internet connection is not perfect so I generally leave this off at the moment.
5. Under "Music and Professional Audio" turn on "Show in-meeting option to "Enable Original Sound".
Echo cancellation can be turned off if using headphones but this can sometimes be a bit unpredictable.
